Juan Roda Moreno

Juan Roda specialises in corporate tax, domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring operations, property taxation and tax litigation.
He was born in 1975, studying Law at the Madrid’s San Pablo-CEU University. He has a Master’s Degree in European Law from the San Pablo-CEU University and a second in Taxation and Fiscal Consulting from Madrid’s Centre for Financial Studies (CEF). He began his career in February 2000 at Roca Junyent Abogados, playing a key role in the law firm establishing themselves in Madrid. In 2006 he joined Ernst & Young as an associate lawyer in their Department of Mergers and Acquisitions in Madrid. Two years later he moved to Ernst & Young’s London offices, where he advised a large number of venture capital funds and industrial firms in the acquisition of Spanish companies. In 2009 he returned to Ernst & Young Madrid, where he stayed until November 2013, when he joined Amat & Vidal-Quadras’s Tax Department in Barcelona. In July 2015 he founded CHR Legal with María Jesús Hernández and José María Cusí. Juan Roda is the co-author of the book Impuesto sobre Sociedades, Régimen General – Tomo II (“The General Company Tax System. Volume II”. Pub. Aranzadi 2013). He has been a speaker on the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice at the Carlos III University in Madrid, at the International Faculty for Executives (IFAES) and at Madrid’s Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE). He is a practicing member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) and the Spanish Association of Financial Law (AEDF).
